Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
Scoutbook plus is removing user leader roles. Two current example and critical issue as we conduct most functions in Scoutbook for troop. two current issues:
I was removed by Scoutbook from K3D position, error states position expired. I am active ASM and K3D. all year round for work for my troop 80 Cranford NJ.
Mike Pherson was added as ASM and he was removed from K3D. He was also removed from new scout on-boarding.
We need these restored quickly, COH and other related troop work is pending.
@RonScorese when a registered position ends, all functional roles end, that is how my.scouting has worked for multiple years.
It looks like you have a new Member ID (MIDs) for NNJC and Crew 163. I see 3 MIDs for you. What unit is this concerning?
If a position was changed and Key3 want to reestablish a functional position (like Key3 Delegate) - then Key 3 can re-establish it.
joining Venturing Crew should not impact my Troop positions.. How to add back, I maintain a lot for my Troop. over the past years, I never been removed from any role within Scoutbook, need to know how to restore for Mike and I… I still have summer camp work as Blackpug fails in new Scoutbook, COH in few weeks.
I here you on that, it fails - no need to address, I am manually making entries. My point was, for over 5 years never was removed from position, today scoutbook removed two very critical assignments to leaders who do most the work in scoutbook. I am contacting Jenn, other K3D to see if she can add Mike and me , hopefully this resolves .. thanks.. I will reply and confim if resolved or open issue.. Thank you again for the support
You joined a new council - so therefor you got a new Member #. That NEW MID is now primary. You can go to my.scouting.org > manage Member ID > change the primary MID to the Patriot Path one and then log back into SB+ and you will see the Troop 80 stuff.
Hi, I am in PPC for Troop 80, very active, I joined Venturing crew 163 in NNJ as there were no Venturing Crew within my council and saw no need to open a new one. I am very active in Troop 80. Are you saying Scoutbook has application error where if in a Troop and Crew in separate councils I loose scoutbook ability to support my troop? I am missing something, how to resolve is what I am seeking
@RonScorese - you have to go to my.scouting.org and manage member id and set you prior member id to primary.. Each council has its own set of member id’s and the new one became primary.
As I have COH work for Troop 80 upon me, do I need ot remove crew 163, do my COH scoutbook then add crew 163 again later? Know this sound crazy, but I need to work in T80 to get done for COH as Temp patch
