Scoutbook roster issues after multiple membership

Hi! I am committe chair of a venturing crew, and last night we had a new member join our crew as a multiple membership. The troop the scout was a current member of is in the neighboring council. This morning, the parent is reporting two issues.

  1. The scout’s parent is getting requests to verify her relationship with the parent, and the message says to contact the unit leader to verify. On my end it shows the parental relationship correctly in scoutbook plus, so I’m not sure how to fix that.

  2. The scout is no longer showing up on the roster for her home troop, she no longer shows merit badge counselor connections, and camping nights say 0 in the summary screen, though if you click through to the detailed camping view all of the camping trips are showing correctly. All of these issues are in the new scoutbook - when you log in to the legacy scoutbook, everything shows correctly, I suspect something broke because the multiple application is across council lines.

Do you have any idea how to fix this, or who I should talk to about fixing this?

@JulieKilbride - a multiple in two different councils will cause this as it is a new member id for the new or secondary council. The member id’s do not span and are not universal.

Ok, any suggestions on how to fix this?

@JulieKilbride - the SUAC can make some recommendations but if both memberships will remain active then a second scoutbook login will be needed as I recall.

@JulieKilbride OK - we can make it where the scout has 2 unconnected SB Accounts. They would have to use my.scouting.org > Manage Member ID > to change Primary MID in order to log into the different users. It will take 24 hours for the Crew user to appear

Ok, thank you. Troop should be primary - it looks like scoutbook has the council the crew is associated with (BAC) showing in the scout’s troop profile instead of the council the troop is associated with (NCA) currently.
