Scout's progress on Merit Badge wiped out

Need help from an admin with some detective work.

I have a scout (ID=14251011) who was nearly complete with the Personal Fitness merit badge, but now there are no records of any requirements being completed - its showing he has not even started it.

Is there a way to get an audit report for changes in Scoutbook on this scout and badge so that I can find out what happened and then restore (manually if necessary) his prior progress?

@Chip_Linthicum - have you checked the version of the mb? I suspect the work was dine on a prior version

@Chip_Linthicum I see no record in the user - you could go to Legacy Scoutbook > Unit > Reports > Audit report > Isolate to that scout and see if there is any information to start with

It would have been entered with the 2023 version of personal Fitness

How do I check the prior version of that merit badge?
I’m using Scoutbook Plus and it doesn’t list it in Pending or Completed.
Do I have to choose to start a new version in order to see the old version?

I see an Audit Log Report - but it doesn’t let me choose an individual scout.

It let’s me choose a Patrol but once I do that it does not show any results.

@Chip_Linthicum - i would make sure to select a start date that would capture data

@Chip_Linthicum - the csv would allow you to filter for that scout. You could also try the advancement export from legacy scoutbook or in plus in the bottom of the reports list.

And Isolate it to ONLY Advancement

So if I’m only seeing my own Scouts name in the export list …. does that mean I’m missing some permission to see a full unit level report?
What do I need to tell my admin that I need?

They have designated me to help debug these issues associated with advancement, since I am the only advancement chair/person in our troop.

What’s the permission level that I’m missing? Or is this not granted based on my existing position?

to run Audit Log - For unit you have to be Chair, Unit Leader, COR, CORD, K3D, or Unit Support

@Chip_Linthicum DEVs found something - it should be restored sometime Thursday I think

@Chip_Linthicum it was deleted and added multiple times over the last few months it seems - but it is restored now

I pulled the audit logs from 12/25/25 till now and didn’t see any record of it being deleted.
Can you tell me who initiated the deletions, so I can follow up with them to make sure it doesn’t happen again? Or was it me somehow?

First one was 3/4/26 - then twice on 4/15/26 - but because of actions the WHO is not on the data I was given
