Side effects or issues when deleting old/unused Patrols?

Our Scouts tend to change their Patrol names and members after elections.

I’m looking for a way to clean up the Patrol list.

Are there any side effects or issues caused by deleting an old Patrol (currently void of members)? Will deleting an old Patrol cause historical information to disappear from a Scout’s profile? Such as Leadership history etc.

If so, is there a way to hide the Patrol?

@Sabrina- deleting old patrols should have zero impact on historical information.

@Sabrina I would close all leadership positions before doing it myself - that are tied to a patrol
