Stripe set up error

I went to set up our Stripe account today and every time I click on the Create Stripe Account button I get the following error:

I did already set the direct payment contact as myself. I have the role of treasurer and am a key 3 delegate.

@Chris.Peterson - you are not required to set up the stripe account, but what steps have you gone through to get this error

@Chris.Peterson not having messed with it too much - can you log into stripe for the account - does it already exist perhaps or was made in the attempt

I do not have a Stripe account.

I went into settings, set myself as the direct payment contact and then clicked on create stripe account.

@Chris.Peterson - that org guid reminds me of the guid that I see that used to be our cub pack which is no more. You started this which viewing the unit you wish to set up ? Again.. the stripe set up is NOT required to use the scoutbook plus payment logs.

I’m confused, if we don’t have a Stripe account how will payments work?

@Chris.Peterson - the stripe is for online payments. We use cheddarup. But I did set up the stripe account. Our members prefer cash or check for the most part. You can enter manual payments just like the legacy payment logs.

The pay option is what gets added with the stripe setup

And that’s what we want to set up. Parents are always asking for ways to pay electronically. I set up a Venmo for the unit but it’s a pain. No one uses Zelle even though we set it up. I looked at Cheddar Up and it didn’t make sense for us.

@Chris.Peterson - i was thinking that you should try one of the key3 as the direct payment contact, the CC would be a good choice.

The Contact person entered would have no relevance in the success

@DonovanMcNeil - got it. Trying to think of a way past the issue. But if the dev team has been notified then they need to figure out the roadblock
