Summer Camp 2022 Recommendations

It’s never too early to start planning for summer camp. Curious to know about camps that your troop has been to and what the experience was like. How much did it cost? What were the pros/cons? Would you go back? I’m specifically interested in camps in the Northeast, but depending on your review, I might be intrigued to consider something at a further distance.

Our Boy Troop has camped since 2019 at Camp Conestoga in Somerset, Pa. In 2019 they were the only summer resident camp open in Pennsylvania during the pandemic and took PHENOMINAL care of us and our Boy Scouts. They offer a good variety of merit badges, the food is great, the camp is beautiful and the camp director listens to campers’ and leaders’ suggestions. Early bird cost per scout for a week at camp is $365. Since two-deep leadership for each unit is required, the First 2 leaders for every unit are free. Check it out here…
