Training Report Inaccurate

Does anyone know why the Training Report double reports leaders that have moved positions? For example, some of our leaders have changed from committee to scouter reserve, but in the training report, they’re showing in their former capacity AND the newer one. It’s causing our % numbers to be inaccurate as well.

@CharlesSemple- uh.. because each position has its own set of training requirements…I suggest you reach out to your council as there is nobody from my.scouting or the training dev teams on the forums.

But they are no longer serving in the old position. So why would a report indicate a training requirement for a position that the person does not hold?

The folks who know what the intended function (and can submit bug reports) aren’t on the forums. Unfortunately, the team that supports my.scouting only takes bug reports from the council professional staff, not from the SUAC volunteers.

Hazarding a guess, two possibilities occur to me. Either the person was multipled into the new position or is still in the grace period from the old position and the training system hasn’t caught up yet.

Even with an Example Member ID# - we would just be guessing - that is a different IT team.

It’s a problem caused by the grace period. The expired position will drop off at the end of the grace period. Until then, we have folks showing in two positions.

I understand the grace period will sunset in 2026.

The current grace period runs from the day of expiration until the start of the second month after expiration.

Thanks Charley! I’ll get our registrar to initiate a ticket once her renewal workload has passed. I understand this is the crazy-busy part of her job cycle.

Thanks Donovan! Each time I ask something, I get a better idea of how the whole enchilada works - even when it doesn’t.
