Transferring packs with expired membership

Hi all,

I’m a new Committe Chair for a pack in the Far East Council. We had a new scout who is a transfer from another pack in the same council, but their membership lapsed, so I can’t transfer him in from the pack side. What guidance should I give to the mom? Should she renew the scout’s current membership or apply as a new scout? I’m getting conflicting internet solutions. Thanks!

@AllisonNorris if it is the same council, I would work with council staff.

@AllisonNorris Have the mom log in to her already existing account at my.Scouting, then register with your pack. When it asks if the Scout was previously registered as a Scout, she can say yes.
