I am trying to assign myself as a counsellor to Scout with MID 140400015 for the Personal Management Merit Badge. I was able to assign myself as counsellor to 7 other scouts for this same MB, but am unable to do it for this one scout. Error reads “the youth information entered does not match any record.” Please see attached screen shots - it gave me an error on the bulk add screen and when I try to add myself directly through his profile, nothing happens when I click “assign.”
The name comparison is case sensitive. There is a story in the backlog to make the search case insensitive.

I didn’t type anything - on the bulk add screen, I selected the scout (along with other scouts) to add myself as his MBC and it gave me an error (see the red circled error in the attachment). When trying to add myself directly, it looks like its going to work (I see the green “assign counselor” and then am able to to get to the screen with the blue “assign” button but when I click the button, nothing happens).
@JamieWaskey - it is due to an issue with the scout name
Ah ok, because his name is writtin in all caps (which was done b/c we have two scouts with exactly the same name). Ok so we just wait for the fix then.
@JamieWaskey - that is an unusual situation. First, middle and last are exact match?
Yes. They don’t have middle names. Just first and last. And first and last are exactly the same.
No the way to fix the 2 Scouts is to use Preferred name. as a way to differentiate - It is not to change real names.
