I have been importing summer camp data and found I only had access to my own patrol. Our SM updated my permissions so that I can upload summer camp data for all the scouts in the troop. After she did this, I received this Invitation from Scoutbook Legacy when trying to access Unit Troop 7G (not sure why it says Troop 7B). When I click accept, it loads to the joining unit page and gets stuck there. I am unable to get past this screen to import the BlackPug data.
Can someone provide some insight on why I cannot Accpet/Ignore this invitation and why it gets stuck?
It will not work - the SM needs to do the import - the old import works off Legacy connections that can no longer be established.
@DonovanMcNeil I was able to upload summer camp MBs for our Boy Unit and for the Girl unit, I was able to upload for a single Patrol. When she tried to update my permissions to have access to the whole troop, that has now caused a secondary issue.
The screen shots from above where my SM had tried to add additional permissions has now caused my disappearance from the troop. The SM can no longer see me on her roster at all. It now lists me as an inactive member. Although on her end she sees me as “inactive” and completely removed from her lists, I still have the same access I did before. I still can update info and have the same access but have fallen off the roster. Can someone assist? Member ID 140849500.
@WalianaDieu - I do doubt this will work as the upload is legacy scoutbook and works off of the connection system. I suggest your scoutmaster use the reset filter in the roster view. Lastly there are no screenshots in you last post.
@WalianaDieu - for the last item please clear the cache and cookies for scouting.org sites.
@WalianaDieu
You do not have the correct permissions in legacy Scoutbook to upload the MB file for the G troop. Ask a Key 3 member (Scoutmaster, Committee Chair or Charter Org Rep) to do the upload.
Can the permissions be updated or is it set? When the SM added me to the second Patrol, this allowed me to upload for the second patrol that I originally could not connect to. By this logic, it seems that the permissions updated in Advancement did seem to make a difference in my ability to upload the MBs for that second patrol that I did not originally have access to.
@WalianaDieu,
What position/permissions were you given when you were “linked to the 2nd patrol by girl troop SM”? Were you set up with the subunit support role? If so, by analogy, the SM might be able to set you up in the Unit Support role to get you the permissions, but I don’t have an account to test this on.
ETA: Looks like this idea shouldn’t work, per Donovan’s post below.
@WalianaDieu this is all legacy based for now. to do for whole unit you would need the legacy admin position that cannot be given other than by actions. The simplest solution for this once a year action is just for a key 3 to do it. Otherwise they would need to make you a key 3 delegate, in order to get the Admin position in legacy.
