Unable to switch scout to older MB version

I’m an MBC and unit committee member and have been working with a scout on a partial MB that was entered into scoutbook by our SM after a merit badge extravaganza last fall. Previously, they had no MBC assigned in scoutbook for this MB (verified in SB+ in March when I had a Key3 position in the unit). I am no longer a Key3 for the unit, and have just used the new “add Youth” by Name and BSA# functionality in SB+ to assign this scout to me and complete the MB.

I cannot change the MB version to the pre-2026 version – it will not load the old requirements list and persists using the 2026 version even after logging out and back in. I’m sincerely hoping that the completed pre-2026 requirements from the extravaganza have not disappeared from SB+ after trying to assign a new MBC to this scout to finish up. Is this a bug, or a “feature” not allowing MBCs to shift to prior requirements based on the date of assignment?

What’s the date in the system for the Unit Leader signature? Maybe that’s locking things in on the newer version of the MB?

ETA: The SUAC volunteers will need the scout’s Scouting America Member ID (no names, please!) and the specific MB affected to investigate.

If the Scout had items entered in SB before they should be on old Version - first guess is nothing was entered. What is the Member # of Scout (no names) and what Merit badge.

I do know the MB requirements from the 2023 version were entered last October by our then-SM, because I had Key3 access to the Troop up until April and at that point I had checked this particular scout’s entry before agreeing to take his partial.

Edit to add: there is no unit leader signature from either 2023 (when I checked in April) or 2026. I’m not sure why that is, since the unit leader at the time time of 2023 entry had entered the requirements from the extravaganza email.
