I am the district chair and a UC asked me because I am very familiar with SB+ and all the support websites, if UCs now get email updates from their assigned units if they have applications pending? I don’t think this was happening before but I could be wrong (never been a UC before). Is this something new? This UC received an automated email that Units typically receive when they have membership applications to process.
I have also been asked that question this weekend. An UC got an email about a pending application for a Troop they are ONLY an Unit Commissioner for (not on the roster at all).
My DC and DE also haven’t seen any info about this change yet but maybe we just noticed it early?
Commissioners receive notifications for all units in the area regardless of membership in the unit to help the DE and Membership committee members (district and Unit) be aware of the pending application as well as awareness of COR/CC adult application processing.
Ok, my knowledgeable UCs and DC have never seen this before hence the reason why I asked, thanks.
DCs have only received notifications for pending Council applications in the past. UCs haven’t received any unit notices before.
