The developers are still working through the “Error User not authorized to access this API.” issue.
Leaders that are not unit admins in Legacy Scoutbook are those most likely to see this error. Connections in Legacy Scoutbook are not used in Scoutbook Plus, so even if you have Full Control or Edit Advancement connections to Scouts, but are not a unit admin, you are likely to see this error.
The developers are working on a short term solution to reduce the number of times this error appears.
If you are not a unit admin, your options today are:
- ask a current unit admin to add the unit admin role to your position in Legacy Scoutbook by making you a Key 3 Delegate or Unit Advancement Chair in my.scouting.org and waiting 24 hours for the sync to complete,
- Ask a current unit admin to enter the advancement.
- Wait for a fix
