I have reviewed the tutorial for the new Scout Book Payment logs functionality. What I am missing is how to handle the following real scenario as we return from Philmont.

- I want to submit each expense that I paid which the troop needs to re-imburse me for.
- I want to show that the troop owes me the money until the treasurer marks it as paid.
- I want to apply the expense I submitted to the scouts which will be charged for it.
- I want that to then become a balance in their accounts.
- I want each expense to be added to what the troop owes me and then divvied out to the scouts who need to re-imburse the troop.

From what I can tell, Payment logs is not yet that sophisticated but I may be totally mistaken.

If anyone is doing this successfully, please let me know.

YiS,

Sam

Yes, it is possible, I have been doing this kind of stuff for the last 2-3 years in the payment logs manually. The key is the “Type” of transaction you perform. You will have to play with it a little while to figure it out but it works.
