For the second time, I’m receiving this message. It was corrected via this forum in 2023, and it was fixed for awhile. I believe I started receiving this message again around the time of Scoutbook Plus. Can someone help me correct this? Thank you in advance!
@JaneStedman I sent you a private message.
I have several Parents in this same situation (including myself); any chance you can assist?
@VinceTirri Please post the BSA member ID numbers for the parents, if known. If not known, please post the BSA member ID number for their Scout.
(No names, please)
I have a similar issue for myself. Can you help me resolve? My BSA member ID is (removed by Moderator). I have a previous BSA member ID (removed by Moderator). Thank you.
@EmilyGilbert You are your Scout are both using the same e-mail address, so that is why you are getting the warning message. I can remove it in Scoutbook, but it will likely return at some point, because it syncs from my.Scouting.
You can ignore the warning or you can give your Scout his own e-mail address.
I would also recommend contacting your local council and ask them to use their Registrar Tools to look up your child (or children). In the “Relationships” tab / section, they should remove you as parent under your secondary BSA member ID number. Then they should add you as parent under your primary BSA member ID number, the one that ends in -793.
Hello! Here you go (test with this one… several others to follow):

@VinceTirri This user appears to have current registrations in 2 councils. Is this user still active with Patriots’ Path Council?
Is it possible that PPC used the wrong BSA ID when cross-registering that user to serve as a trainer for an event last year?
@VinceTirri I don’t know. Each council is assigned its own BSA member ID numbers, so if the adult served as Council Camp Staff in Patriots’ Path Council, then they would need a BSA number that belongs to PPC.
If the user is no longer active in PPC, then we can go ahead and merge the Scoutbook accounts.
Just spoke with PPC; the user has two IDs:
14066795 (this is the correct one with all of the Scouters training/links to their children)
14659022 is the one that can be deleted.

Another BSA ID experiencing this (hi it’s me):
136671536 (suspect Council created a duplicate SB ID when re-registering as an MBC, have sent an email to council.) I’m on Advancement and it’s logging me into the newer account with the single email address, but I can’t see the SB ID.
This adult DOES have addt’l registrations in neighboring councils for Cubs, but is willing to cut these if it will fix the primary one above.
