Why are there such restrictive permissions on printing Eagle Scout Applications?

I am an Assistant Scoutmaster and Eagle Coach with our Troop, the permission restrictions that have been placed on accessing this report make it nearly impossible to do this. I currently have to individually request applications from the Committee Chair, which is very inefficient.

Please restore the general access to the Eagle Coach report.

Scouting America security has decided to increase security on Scout’s Personally Identifiable Information (PII). Since the Eagle Application contains PII, the number of people that can generate it has been limited.

All Scouts and their parents can generate the Eagle Application. My suggestion is to have Scouts produce the application since they ultimately have to add information and print it.
