Not sure what happened but within the last few days all hyperlinks embedded in the Scouting app Calendar events were wiped out. The text is still there but the hyperlinks are all missing now. I had hundreds of hyperlinks over 10 months created. Any way we can restore them?
The hyperlinks are in SB+ but not in the Scouting app that the parents view eliminating an essential self-service feature I was depending on.
I see the URLs working in the link if they are real Hyperlinks and not just text. Could you get a video of it failing for us? If so I can give you a private way to send it.
@ThomasCline also is this for the MyScouting App or the Scoutbook Scouting App?
Red Scouting app. I don’t have that kind of info for parents in the blue MyScouting app.
@ThomasCline - this may fit in better with the scouting mobile app thread as my.scouting does not have any unit calendar nor much of anything else for parents.
Correct. This is not a my.scouting issue. It’s a mobile red Scouting app issue. This topic is tagged as “Scouting Mobile App” and I also know no one from the my.scouting team monitors the forums. Not sure where else to ask these questions?
I think I just discovered the root cause. The text that is hyperlinked is black, the regular text next to the hyperlink text is black. No one will realize that there is a hyperlink because it looks like normal text and is not the standard blue hyperlink text we see all across the internet. So the hyper link is there but is camouflaged in with black text. Any way we can restore the hyperlink text back to blue like in SB+ so parents see it and recognize it as a hyperlink. The mobile red Scouting app used to have blue text for hyperlinks like in SB+.
This has been reported to the developers. Thanks for letting us know.
