What is the best way to encourage a Life Scout to finish his 5 badges for Eagle? He has been in scouting since a cub and has a great plan for an Eagle Project but is not motivated. He has a lot going on in school and band, but it’s a struggle to finish. I don’t want to see that happen, I’ve explained that he can benefit from this, i.e., college application, job. I need any advise I can get. His mom told me that he would quit if I would let him…I won’t give up now. She has not been very involved in scouting due to her work schedule, it’s been only me, a teacher at his school who is a scoutmaster and has earned his Eagle, and another professional at school that is the same.
