Bug Fixes

  • Advancement Approval
    • An issue that prevented check boxes to appear in the To Approve tab for Key 3 Delegates has been fixed.
  • AOL Patrol Leader Advancement
    • An issue that prevented advancement for Arrow of Light Patrol Leaders from being updated has been fixed.
  • Awards
    • An issue that prevented some awards, including Firem’n Chit, from being completed due to an error that says it already exists for the Scout has been fixed.
  • Functional Positions
    • An issue that incorrectly displayed some functional positions as expired has been fixed.
  • Print Blue Card
    • An issue that caused the Print Blue Card button to appear for Packs has been fixed.
  • Purchase Order
    • An issue that caused the purchase order to show counts of unique items, not total items has been fixed.

New Features

  • Messaging has moved from Legacy Scoutbook to Scoutbook Plus.
    • E-mail Opt-Out has moved from the Legacy Scoutbook Plus My Account → E-Mail page to the E-Mail section of the Scoutbook Plus profile page.
    • A Messaging link is added to the left hand menu bar for all members authorized to send messages.
    • The Recipient selection can be sorted by Youth or Adults.
      Note: There is a known issue where youth given permission to approve rank requirements for other youth are appearing as leaders. The developers are aware of the issue.
    • The selection pop-up for the distribution list can be filtered by All, Youth, Unit Participants (> 17 members), Parent or Leader and/or by sub-unit including All and Unassigned.
    • When a youth is selected, the youth’s parents will automatically be selected. If all of the youth’s parents are deselected, the message cannot be sent until at least 2 adult leaders are selected.
    • Use BCC is enabled by default.
    • An option to include the names of recipients at the bottom of the message when BCC is enabled is off by default.
    • An option to Include Safeguarding Youth Notice in youth messages is on by default.
  • Photos HEIF/HEIC Support
    • Photos including the profile picture and advancement notes now support HEIF and HEIC filetypes of up to 50MB.
      Note: When changing the profile picture you MUST click the SAVE button above and to the right of the photo in order for the picture to update. The Save Changes at the bottom of the page will not save the picture.
