Receipts are broken

I just renewed my adult membership in Scouting America, and I was offered a chance to view my receipt for payment in two places: once on the confirmation screen and again in the email I received after the transaction. The “receipt” I was offered in both situations looks like the attached screenshot.

It’s not a great look for the program.

I tried downloading the PDF to see if I could select any text that might have been white against the white background. There is no text in the PDF, only the graphic elements I screenshot.

This probably needs to be submitted via your council professionals, since the folks who maintain my.scouting only take bug reports from the councils, not from the SUAC volunteers.

You might also check whether there are any plugins/add-ons interfering by trying to get the information in a private browsing/incognito window. Those typically disable plugins/add-ons, so might indicate that it’s a “local” issue (i.e. a specific plugin/add-on) causing misbehavior rather than an issue with the site itself.

Charlie is correct. This is an issue that needs to be reported via your Council professional staff.

When you submit it to your council, include Member ID and Order ID if you can (screenshots are a bonus!). Your council can see that info from their end if you give them the name and unit in question but it’s helpful to push it along quicker. Start with your District Executive although your Registrar or Office Manager may be the one that actually submits the ticket.

P.S. as someone who submits most of the tickets for our council, my first troubleshooting step is advising people to wait 24 hours if they can and try again. It’s sometimes just a momentary glitch.
