We are a Cub Scout troop, so all youths have a parent’s email address as their email address. I don’t know why for this one parent Scoutbook would not connect and created this ERROR message.
What do I do?
The Scouts should not have the Parent’s e-mail as theirs. The Scouts should not have an e-mail address at all unless the parent gave them one when they invited the Scout. If you are getting an error that says the email address is assigned to a youth this seems to happen when using the online application. The parents e-mail gets stuck into the youth e-mail data area by the auto fill in from some browsers. The way to fix this is to send an e-mail to scoutbook.scouting.org asking them to remove the e-mail address from the youth account.
