The comment section in our calendar is saying “Something went wrong while fetching comments.” This seems to be happening to everyone. This is not a refresh situation.
@PatrickTarallo - i am not seeing that issue. Is this at advancements.scouting.org or the red scouting app from the play store or apple store ?
Something else to check for is whether there’s some sort of special character or link that was added to a comment on y’all’s calendar recently that might have broken the comment handler.
When did y’all first notice the issue?
Another leader noticed it last week and I gave it a week to see if it corrected itself. Its been a week and it is still there. It seems to be all the events that already have comments. The one event that has no comment works like normal.

Interesting, anything before now a year ago. The comments are still there. Anything after 7/26/25, has the error. The title for the first one with this behavior is listed below.

That is likely good data. The one before that, are there comments on it? anything weird characterwise on the last comment?
Nope. Last comment was “SIGNUPS CLOSED”
Can you delete the first effected event? as it is old might clear it
I have turned in the issue - just thinking what might clear it
@DonovanMcNeil I am not a big fan of deleting past records, especially ones so recent. Especially, since those posts have been there for a year and no issue was happening before now. I will wait to see what happens next. Just to clarify after you submit the issue, what happens next?
Also, is this the correct/typical process to fixing issues like this on scout book?

@DonovanMcNeil I tried deleting the first post with the defected comment section, because we are getting ready for our rocket launch in two weeks and we use the comment section to track attendance. It did not fix the glitch.
@PatrickTarallo - there is attendance within the event itself
Yes, but it can only track those who are on scoutbook. Not all of the additional people in our scouts’ lives make it on to scoutbook.
@PatrickTarallo - you can use the external guest section for that I would think.
