Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
I am incurring an issue when I edit an existing calendar event description with a hyperlink. I can type all the details in text but as soon as I add a hyper link the field will not allow any more text except in the last cursor row location. Any change in cursor row location will default back to that previous location.
Work Around: After a hyperlink is added click the “Save Event” button. Somehow this fixes the cursor issue till the next hyperlink is added.
@ThomasCline ok I THINK I see what you mean. So you use the WYSIWYG add link and the cursor disappears?? have you tried clicking in text to add the cursor back?
Sort of, once the link is added something changes with the cursor. It doesn’t act the same way after that. It’s there, you can move it around, but as soon as you try to input something at the cursor it defaults back to the last hyperlink row. Even if you try to add a 2nd hyperlink after the first the WYSIWYG link button loses where the cursor was and doesn’t pull text you highlighted to add the hyperlink to. It’s really strange and I am not sure if it’s just me or something behind the scenes.
Can’t do video right now, maybe if it’s still not working tonight, I will try again.
It’s strange though, sometimes its immediate then sometimes it takes 5 mins. End result is the cursor responds but only at the first row where the hyperlink was. Sometimes I can get a couple of hyperlinks or text done before the 5 mins is up and it messes up forcing me to “Save Event” or back out completely of the event to the calendar month view.
