Several merit badges have a requirement with sub Reqs.
For example: cooking several requirements the need multiple meals cooked: 4d, 5d, 5e and 6d there should be sub Reqs for each meal
4d1 Breakfast
4d2 Lunch
4d3 dinner
And so forth
Right now the best counselor or can do is put a note of date and meal in the comments section. since the meals might not be all made during the same outing biit would be a big help for subReqs to havee their own date signature.
I think SUAC has previously raised this, and the answer was that national wants the requirements in SB+ to reflect the numbering in the official requirements. So, if all meals are part of 4d, there’s only one requirement (4d) and therefore one check-off. I use the notes the same way you’ve described for similar requirements.
@MichaelDwyer2- it is the requirements as written and in looking at cooking merit badge the requirements in the scouting america mb site and scoutbook match. I suspect that you are wanting mb requirements to match those non-required and non- scouting america workbooks.
