Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
I see that the Nova Counselors and Supernova Mentors were added on May 4 - very nice addition. How does one get on this list? I’ve gone through the training and to the best of my knowledge, did everything I needed to do to become a Nova Counselor but my name doesn’t appear when I search. I see my training is current (well, it never expires for Nova) in my.scouting.org.
Please advise what triggers me being listed as an approved counselor?
Like MBCs, I believe that the council has to approve your NOVA/SuperNOVA Counselor role. It used to be (or so I understood) that NOVA Counselors were not reviewed by council, but that might have been a misunderstanding on my part.
I’d probably reach out to your DE or commish to see if they can put you in touch with the right folks at your council.
