Scout is trying to use messenger from the patrol page so it automatically selects who it goes to. Problem is they cannot see their troop or patrol from their dashboard. I found a work around by going to advancement then selecting the troop or patrol at the top navigation bar. See attached photos.

This is currently working as designed. We understand the process to get to the patrol page is cumbersome. If it is something the Scout will be doing regularly, we recommend bookmarking the page for quick access.
