This is pretty clearly a bug. The interface shouldn’t allow input that breaks downstream processes (or the downstream processes should be adjusted to not break). Unfortunately, we do not know when this will be fixed.
In the meantime, if you copy text into notepad or something similar that strips out all the formatting, you should be able to copy/paste from there into the interface.
