I could not find the new electives for sea scouts associated with NauticEd in Scoutbook Plus. They became effective on July 1, 2026. If these have not been added yet, please give me a forecast on when they may be added. thanks…
That sounds like something SS did not inform IT about - SS National needs to take the correct steps for changes in the system
@RonaldBlaisdell I saw your name on the seascout.org post and wanted to give you a heads up.
I DID find the new electives listed with the individual rank requirements for Ordinary, Able, and Quartermaster, but they are not listed in the “electives” area of Scoutbook Plus.
OK that is what I was coming back to clarify - cause it is in the database.
So, I just logged into SB+ and looked at my own ship - you must choose the version of rank requirements you are using, and the Electives are there when you select the version “Current - 2026,” as example, they are number 17 in the Ordinary rank requirements.

Well, that is how the developers did this update for Sea Scouting, what can I tell you! 
@MarkCarmel the SB+ developers asked the Sea Scouting program to change the rank requirements so they would work better in SB+. So electives were removed and made part of the requirements for Ordinary, Able, and Quartermaster.
There was an announcement on the changes put in seascout.org - https://seascout.org/news/advancement-updates/ - and on the SeaScout Facebook group. Plus,if you go to Advancement Central, https://seascout.org/advancement-central/ you will see new version of the rank requirements for each rank as well.
The big change, was that electives are no longer “choose one from column A, or B, or C.” Those doing the Ordinary rank can only choose from Level 1 electives. Able from Level 2 electives, an QM from level 3 electives.
Yeah I remember some discussion around that - it is odd just looking at SS occasionally - is the Old elective section still live @RonaldBlaisdell ? I see it on the test server
with the 2026 ranks they are better integrated into rank requirements.

@RonaldBlaisdell - yes - but now this is basically dead or does not work with current ranks??? Basically there are 2 places to enter electives that are not connected I think

The old rank versions are already unearnable in SB+. Might be smart for ships to go through and move electives for each scout.
