Sending a Message with an Attachment

I’m trying to send out our Troop’s Calendar for Parents and Scouts to have. This is not the calendar that we will eventually load up into Scoutbook for online reference, it is a 1 page year at a glance calendar, that I’m dubbing the “refrigerator/recruitment calendar.”

At first I thought just send the message via the older scoutbook as the attachement link exists and I’m familiar with that system in the pack. But for whatever reason when I go to look at the troop roster in “Old Scoutbook” I don’t see any scouts, and I only see the troop leadership, so over half the parents aren’t even listed there.

Looking at the new Scoutbook Plus I see the whole roster, but when I try to send out a message I only see that you can send an attachment as a link, but no way to just attach a file. This is a single page PDF print-out calendar that is only 125KB, but multiple parents said they’d want it, so I prepared it and was hoping to send it out to them.

Thank you for your help.

MEssage file storage for enterprise is very expensive - get the PDF and upload to a free Cloud (like Google) and share that URL for people to download. That is the best solution for now

Adding an attachment to messages in Scoutbook Plus is in the backlog, but we do not know when it will be implemented.

Legacy Scoutbook relies on connections to determine who you should be able to message. Your Scoutmaster or Committee Chair will have all the parents and scouts who have logged in in the list to send a message.

@LeeImbimbo

There is an item in the backlog to support sending attachments via Scoutbook Plus messaging.
