@JanetHanson My council approves MBCs fairly rapidly, but I’m in another group where ppl report that their council takes a VERY long time. I receive an email from council “Congrats, you are now authorized for X new MB!” and am then searchable on SB a day or so later.

Absolutely. - the documentation for how it works has not at all caught up - I learn more from this forum, Reddit, and the FB group I am in. It feels pretty haphazard now, and I’m sure it’s a challenging transition behind the scenes, but our Advancement chair doesn’t understand it and our troop has not had any training as it’s evolving so quickly.
Janet, you are correct to ask these questions, and you should make your opinion known. This system is extremely difficult to use. For tech types and people who use it frequently, it is manageable but for non-techies and volunteers who use it a couple of times a year, it is just as you said a “time suck”. This is hard to hear for some, but the National should know if they are making things unnecessarily difficult for volunteers. Don’t be afraid to speak up.
