Tag Calendar Events - How to do this?

I saw a new feature in Scoutbook Plus Calendar is tagged calendar events. Awesome! How do I do this? Is it just using a # in the description field?
When I want to search for a tag - would I just enter the tag name in the “Search Event Name” field?

Selecting the event types creates the tags. The search capability has not been enabled yet.
