Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
I’ve found that when creating an event, everything performs well until I get to the description section. It’s so sluggish and slow that it makes me want to type it offline and paste in. It may be a 3 second delay before my text shows up. And for someone that does a lot of correction, that’s a lot of extra time needed to see a mistake and then fix it.
I’ve tried both Chrome and Edge and have the same experience and both are on the latest versions available.
As a Commissioner, I don’t have direct access to SB/SB+, but I have had several unit volunteers report this same problem. They are using a variety of web browsers on a variety of OS’s. I’ve asked them to come here and make more detailed problem reports, but I wanted to respond here so the thread stays open for them…
Windows 1124H2, 25H2 but I’ve tried on 10 as well.
Edge Version 141.0.3537.71 and Chrome Version 141.0.7390.107, both are the latest version, or within 1 update.
Anyone that can get a good video of this - it would be appreciated to hand off - as it is impossible to replicate. If you do we can give you a direct private link to upload it to.
I will send you a direct message > look at top right Avatar to find it > it will be a green envelope > it will be a private message channel with select members of the Scoutbook User Advisory Council (SUAC)
Confirming we are seeing it in our pack as well across computers, users, and browser types. It’s INCREDBILY slow. I’m 15 minutes into trying to post a single event and I have the second half of the year we’d like to add in.
