Troop 612, Chief Seattle Council.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open a past Camping calendar event (Oct 16, 2026, 5:00 PM → Oct 17, 2026, 3:00 PM) with attendance recorded (10 youth, 3 adults).
2. Edit Event → Camping section → Add Camping. The dialog opens with Start Date 10/16/26 and End Date 10/17/26.
3. On the Groups tab, enter Youths Days = 2, Nights = 1 — the correct values for that date range.
Expected: values accepted.
Actual: “Cannot exceed total days” and “Cannot exceed total nights.” The Groups tab enforces caps of 1 day / 0 nights even though the dialog’s own dates span 2 days / 1 night. Re-entering the dates or the values doesn’t clear the errors. Reproduced on Android and on desktop.
Workaround: the Individuals tab accepts Days = 2 / Nights = 1 for each person, and the activity saves correctly from there.
this is a known issue - it is the fact that the event is not 24 hours long. Just change the start or end time
I could not log any camping nights for a campout from 10/17 2 PM to 10/18 11 AM. Per Donovan’s suggestion, I changed the end time to 2:15 PM so that it was more than 24 hours. I still cannot log any camping nights using the Groups tab. I get the errors Actual: “Cannot exceed total days” and “Cannot exceed total nights.”
@PeterCollinge - enter the camping via the activity log and link it to the event
Thanks, Stephen, that worked.
I just had this same problem adding the Camping Activity to the Calendar Event with “Camping” selected for the event type and it wouldn’t allow me to accredit the campers under “Group” but it did work under “Individual”. A little bit of a headache but sounds like a known issue after reading this thread.
