"Announcements" feature?

The addition of an “announcements” section to Scoutbook Plus would be helpful in allowing units to consolidate the online tools they use to manage communications with membership. The announcements may not necessarily need to be an email to the entire unit - and having a listing of those announcements to go back and review for various information that needs to be disseminated - and avoid having to search through email to do so, but just scroll through the “unit announcements” section of Scoutbook Plus would be very helpful.

If/when the “email digest” feature is created and enabled (Schedule email with upcoming events and group emails - #2 by edavignon), the “email digest” could also send a summary of the announcements posted over the last X days/weeks on a regular basis, allowing weekly emails to units instead of multiple emails in a week. The single emails become trusted sources of information for the membership. The combination of “announcements” and “email digest” would be a welcomed addition.

A feature like this would require cloud storage which is very expensive for enterprise systems like Scoutbook. Due to the costs I do not envision Scouting America implementing this feature.

I suggest using a 3rd party solution such as Google Groups for this purpose.
