I am an Assistant Scoutmaster and I am having issues in Scoutbook Plus. I can’t run reports that product ANY results i.e. no scouts come up when I am creating a report. See pics 1 and 2 below that show screenshots of my search terms and the results page.
Also, when I hover my mouse over scouts on the troop roster page, my mouse turns into a little “do not enter” symbol. See pic 3 below.
Our committee chair tried to see if it was a permission issue, and within assistant scoutmasters, it says “term expires” after my name (pic 4 below). My YPT is good until May 31, so that seems strange.
Reports have a secondary permission system and I am unclear where that sits right now - asking DEVs now to understand where it sits. But I would make sure under Permission > Unit > Reports is on for the User
I’m the Committee chairman. I can’t assign Doug to any of the extra permissions. He doesn’t show up on the roster. He is up to date on his membership and Safeguarding Youth, so I can’t figure out why he is listed as expired and our Council doesn’t have any suggestions. I am pretty sure I did assign Doug to the extra permissions before this problem started. I assigned every ASM extra permissions and the rest are not having an issue, to my knowledge.
Doug is also not listed on the roster for Scoutbook Plus, but he is on the roster on My.Scouting.org. (Committee Chair here). I am guessing this is the source of the problem, likely linked to the “Term Expires” message but we have no idea why. He is up to date on Safeguarding Youth and membership renewal.
I am having a similar issue with my Treasurer (3259126). When he tries to run a Roster report (trying to see who purchased a Scout Life subscription) the only scouts that show up are his own kids. He can see all scouts on the main roster page. He is showing that he has reports access on the permissions manager. Thanks for your help.
Doug doesn’t show up in the permissions options. He doesn’t show up on Scoutbook Plus at all. He does show on the roster and as ASM in my.scouting, but that isn’t getting to Scoutbook Plus.
Also note that you might need to assign him permissions to do certain things, since the default permissions for ASMs are pretty limited, as described in the PDF document linked from the blue banner at the top of the page:
