Bug Fixes

  • Calendar
    • An issue that caused pack calendars to appear multiple times when a Den Chief is included in the pack has been fixed.
  • Denner
    • An issue that caused a Denner’s advancement to get “stuck” to the old level when the Denner is moved to a new den level has been fixed.
  • Mobile Date Picker
    • The date picker for mobile devices has been replaced with a calendar based version that includes forward and back buttons for both month and year. This is more in line with standard mobile date pickers.
  • Purchase Order
    • Incorrect wording regarding sending purchase orders to scoutshop.org has been fixed.
  • Quick Entry
    • An issue that caused an error when trying to approve a previously approved adventure using Quick Entry has been fixed. The dates will not change on a previously approved adventure.
  • Relationships
    • The Member ID under relationships is included and better aligned.

New Features

  • Migration to Scoutbook Plus
    • The following features have been migrated from Legacy Scoutbook to Scoutbook Plus. Legacy Scoutbook will automatically redirect to the appropriate Scoutbook Plus page.
      • Scouts BSA, Venturing and Sea Scout Advancement except as noted below.
      • Needs Approval Reports to Roster → Advancements → To Approve
      • Needs Purchasing Reports to Roster → Advancements → To Purchase
      • Needs Awarding Reports to Roster → Advancements → To Award
      • Report Builder to Reports → Custom Reports → New Report → New Custom Report (Report Builder)
      • Roster Builder to Reports → Custom Reports → New Report → New Custom Roster Report
    • Merit Badges
      • Merit Badge support for Merit Badge Counselors is remaining in Legacy Scoutbook. Units will Leader Approve overall MB completions and requirements that have not been Counselor Approved via Scoutbook Plus.
      • A new “Merit Badge” link has been added to the Scout’s page for use by Merit Badge Counselors until full Merit Badge support is migrated to Scoutbook Plus.
      • MBC Search and assignments remain in Legacy Scoutbook. and MBC’s can still make scout connections themself through Legacy My Connections if needed.
    • Cub Scout Ranks and Adventures
      • WIth the approval of the Cub Scout Program Office, troop leaders will now be able to “record” (approve) ranks and adventures that were left unapproved prior to a Scout moving from a pack to a troop. These will appear on the Troop’s To Approve tab.

Known Issues

  • Awards
    • Some retired awards that have not been completed may still appear on a Scout’s page. These will eventually be removed.
  • Cub Scout Advancement Approval
    • While Scouts BSA, Venturing and Sea Scout leaders will be able to approve Adventures and Ranks that were not approved prior to Scouts moving from a Pack to a Troop, Crew or Ship, requirement approval will fail. This error will be fixed soon.
  • Merit Badge Audit Data
    • Audit Date containing Merit Badge Counselor approval is missing in Scoutbook+. This is being worked on and will be available soon.
  • Merit Badge Quick Entry
    • Merit Badge Quick Entry is not working properly. Use the Scout’s page and select the desired MB to enter completions. The developers are working on a fix.
  • Advancement Counts
    • The counts displayed on the Advancement tab may be incorrect. The developers are working on making the counts accurate.
