Award discrepancy

Hi again!

I’m having an issue with awarding a Scout the Firem’n Chit. The Scout’s SB User ID is 12436799 and Member ID is 14235619. On his profile in Scoutbook Plus, it shows the Firem’n Chit as not started. Yet when I try to award it to him, there is a warning that says, “This youth already completed this advancement. Recording progress on this requirement will remove final completion status.” Should I go ahead and try to add it? I don’t want to mess something up, but he hasn’t yet received the patch and his profile says he has not yet started the award.

@AmandaSteiner - I would put in the date earned. But be fore warned that there are some issues with awards at the moment.

Rats–it won’t let me. It says “There was an error updating one or more requirements, try again later.”

If I try to award it from the Scout’s profile directly, I get this error:

@AmandaSteiner - yes as I said there are lingering issues with awards that has been noted many times.

Make note of when it was earned, buy the patch and card if that is what your unit does. Be ready to enter the awards when it is announced that awards are fixed.

Thanks. Do you have a link for where updates on awards can be found? It’s weird because it let me enter it for one of our Scouts but not this one. But I’ll keep checking!

It is in the “change log” for Scoutbook+. Scoutbook - Scoutbook Plus Change Log - Scouting Forums

If you set it to watching, you will get a little notification of any new posts to that sub forum when you log in.
