Bulk Upload of MBCs into SB

I am a Council Scoutbook Admin. Our council uploads our MBC list monthly via a .csv file. How do we accomplish this under Scoutbook+? I haven’t found anything that provides this capability.

@JuddStiff - what did it say in the change log

But, in Legacy Scoutbook, the Council Admin bulk upload of counselors has been eliminated.
The only thing remaining in Legacy SB is the bulk requirement upload.

@JuddStiff - i think you missed the word EXCEPT in the post
All functions of Merit Badge Counselor (MBC) Support except MBC’s sending messages to Scouts, MBC’s Print Blue Card and Council Admin bulk requirement upload have been migrated to Scoutbook Plus.

@JuddStiff - ah yes.. I guess you are down to registrar tools

Is this going to be “forever” not being able to do bulk uploads of Merit Badge Counselors, or is this important capability just not happening yet? We really need the capability!

@JuddStiff i would not know as i am just a volunteer

@JuddStiff

The ability to load MBC data via CSV is not going to be added to Scoutbook Plus.

Council Admins can add MBs to MBCs via the MB Counselor Search page or Registrars can add the MBs as soon as they register the MBC via Registrar Tools. Registrars no longer have to wait 24 hours to enter the MBs.

They also dropped the report of all MBCs and their badges from Scoutbook Plus in the migration.

@GaryJarkewicz - would not know as i am not a council admin

@GaryJarkewicz all MBC MB Assignments are now saved in my.scouting not Scoutbook - maybe there is a new report

There is a report there that they are currently correcting due to a number of mislabeling of badges and other issues. That report never tracked well with what was actually in Scoutbook (for whatever reason), but soon it should be useful. As an added minutiae, the registrars actually use my.scouting to enter new MBCs and their badges and then it gets propagated to Scoutbook.
