Can I categorize adults and/or Youuth as alumni?

Some of our adult leaders and youths will not need to receive regular emails.

Can I tag them as alumni in some way so that they don’t receive new event notifications, etc.?

@NicoleAllen3- I answered the question in your prior post. They have to self govern the email options. There is not any way to “tag” them.

Wasn’t sure if anyone knew of a different way rather than asking all the adults & youth to update their profiles, which might take forever.

I may just need to figure out how to manually add individuals to each calendar invite instead of just sending a blanket email to “all invitees”

@NicoleAllen3- you can invite folks manually one by one, all or none to an event

all of that is on the right hand side when you start the event creation.

I see that menu on the right side, but I don’t see a way to add all youth and adults, but then go in and specifically remove my alumni.

@NicoleAllen3- perhaps the way to do this is make a patrol called alumni which would then allow you to exclude the sub unit. You would have to not use the Troop as the unit/sub unit starting point

This is a great idea. Thanks!

I successfully created my new patrol - but I can’t seem to find where/how I can add Scouts to this new Alumni patrol

@NicoleAllen3- you would have to open that patrol to add adults and scouts

I opened the patrol and added Scouts but can’t seem to add adults…

@NicoleAllen3- I think i would need to run a screen share. You can email me shornak@bloomberg.net

Okay. I will try to figure out how to do this and circle back with you. Thank you.

@NicoleAllen3- it would be add leader for the adults

Could you possibly add a screen shot of where in the system this can be done? I don’t see a spot to add a leader for an adult….

If you have adults that are no longer involved in the unit, I suggest removing them from Calendar invites. This will prevent them from getting reminders.

This is all super helpful. Thank you.

I don’t see what you see in terms of having the list of adults on the left that I can add to a patrol. In myscouting.org, I can see all my registered adults in my troop. But when I shift to Scoutbook Plus, they are not listed anywhere/not in my troop roster. So I probably need to start with that step and then follow your step. Thank you for your help!

Well actually I guess my adults ARE in the troop roster in Scoutbook. But I can’t find the screen you’re using to add them to a patrol. This is what I see

Love this = is this is myscouting.org or Scoutbook Plus? I haven’t come across this screen anywhere yet
