Tried to use the online payment system. It is definitely not user friendly. payments are created not considering credits and the payment created cannot be adjusted. How do I delete an initiated payment?
@AnthonyDeSimone - there is a note when you hover on the trash can for a charge where payment was initiated but not completed that says you CAN NOT delete the transaction but will need to make an entry of a credit/debit to offset the amount
Yes, I know, that is not helpful. What does that mean? and if the payment is not completed, then the offset does not need to be done. When it is in the “initiated” state you should be able to delete it.
@AnthonyDeSimone - it means what is says.. if the payment was initiated but not completed it means the person still owes the unit. Like this example
A manual entry of 71 received from the person would bring the balance to 0
If on August 1, I enter a unit charge of $80. Then on August 15 I enter a credit of $30. Balance on left says $50. If the person hits pay, it is still requiring them to pay $80. And you cannot delete that “initiated payment”. What if they want to make a partial payment?
@AnthonyDeSimone yes - the system IT used is transaction based - not account based. So you enter a transaction of $80 that is the only amount the system knows.
So the person has to pay more than they need to, get charged an extra amount service charge, and the pack has to pay them back?
@AnthonyDeSimone - stripe express is strictly a per transaction setup. They can pay by cash or check and a manual entry for that payment entered to bring the balance to zero.
If you use as designed yes @AnthonyDeSimone . You could always setup a regular Stripe account (or other payment system) and use that for other non connected transactions, it would just not be integrated now.
Now that I activated it for the pack, it won’t let me shut it off so people can’t use the pay button. Even though under settings it says direct payments “Hold”.
@AnthonyDeSimone - once it is activated that is it. There is no current way to turn that off. You could at this point direct your members to ignore the pay button.
yes, that is what I did. 
This was released without SUAC being able to see it - when we did re raised these exact issues (and more) - but this is where it stands. We have been told a solution is being worked on.
