Hi. When I set up my scout’s account, I selected “BSA Credentials” as the login method. I would like to update the account so they can sign in using their Google account. I am not able to figure out how to change the login method. Can somebody point me to the procedure, or direct me to somebody that can help me? Thank you.
If your Scout’s Google account is from a school, do not use it to log in to BSA sites. We have seen many issues where a school starts restricting how their google accounts are used which blocks using it for BSA systems.
Login to my.scouting.org with your BSA credentials. Select My Account. That is the page where you switch between BSA Credentials, Google Login and Apple Login.
The google account is not from a school. Do I have to update my scout’s login method from my account, or would I do it from their account?
It must be done from the account you want to change.
From the account I want to change, i can only see a box for “BSA Credentials”. Redacted screencap attached.
They might have turned of the other logins for youth as they were causing such an issue with age things
