It would be great if Districts had access to the Calendar and Communications tools of ScoutBook to be able to have a District Calendar that all units (and if the units allow it, members) can see as well as to send emails to the units (and if the units allow it, members).
As an added bonus, if we could view the units calendars (as a District for planning purposes), that would be awesome as well.
Scouting America IT has stated Scoutbook is a unit tool. There are no plans to add district or council functions.
Years ago IT investigated supporting district and council calendars. What they found was there are so many different calendars in use and that Councils have no interest in changing the calendar system they use. The effort was abandoned when it was determined very few councils or districts would use a Scoutbook based calendar.
