I am running into this same situation as well. I am trying to update Troop wide service logs and I have three Eagle projects that were also Conservation projects. If I pick Eagle Project, I cannot select Conservation so it will not show up on the conservation log.
At this point I am going with No and selecting Conservation instead. It does not appear to double count. Everything marked as Conservation is listed both on the Service Log report and the Conservation Service Log. The Conservation acts as a flag and the report hours should not be manually summed together. The Conservation Service Log is indented as a subset of the Service Log.
It seems that the Project Type should be one to many. A project could be both Children and Landscape or Landscape and Conservation. Depending on how this is coded in the database, it could require an additional relational table which would take effort to add. An easier option would be to change the Eagle Project from a Yes/No to a multiple selection field (No, My Service Project, Someone Else’s Service Project). That is an easier short-term change. In addition to that change, the regular Project Type list should then be available. The Eagle Service Log could then be treated as a subset report that doesn’t double count just like the Conservation one.
Does anyone know what selecting Yes for Eagle Project actually does? When I try to run the Eagle Service Activity Log Report, I get a blank report like the selection doesn’t work. (Note: This blank report is when the projects are flagged as Eagle Project Yes and not when they are flagged as Conservation.)
