Events not showing on calendar but are available via link

I created events about a week ago and have the links to them from the reminder mail that was sent. They no longer appear on the calendar as of today. However if I use the link from the reminder mail I can go to them. I can provide the links (there are 2 events doing this) for them if need be. How can I get them to show up again? Would it work for me to do an edit and save?

Usually, for me this has meant that there’s something messed up in my cache. Clearing the cached data for *.scouting.org fixed it for me. Theoretically it also could be if they aren’t on the same calendar you’re displaying (e.g. on subunit calendar, but only displaying unit calendar, etc).

That said, in case clearing cache/checking display settings don’t work, the SUAC may be able to investigate further with more information about one or more of the events that are
“missing”. I can’t recall if they need anything more than the name and date of the events.

@EmilyRepperger yeah I would say cache - or the more basic one - make sure your scout or you are an invitee to the event

I already cleared the cache before I posted. I also had my husband on his machine check and he does not see the events either. My scout is invited to the events.

How do I get this to the SUAC?

@EmilyRepperger- any different if you use an incognito session ? I would gather that you have the calendar filters set to show the respective calendar

Donovan is one of the SUAC members, so you should be able to just post it in this thread and he can take a look.

No different in a private window of the edge browser. Also tried the my chrome browser and no different there. And yes I have all troop and patrol calendars selected.

@DonovanMcNeil What data do I need to provide you here? Is it okay to give you the full links to the events here (or the eventid), or should I give you some other data?

@EmilyRepperger On the Calendar Page - on Calendars at top - are you sure the troop calendar is on?

@DonovanMcNeil Yes. I have it configured to show all the calendars for the troop. I see other events that are at the same scope (troop level) for other events. These are just not showing up on the calendar page. I can use the RSVP link to get to them. They are configured for 2026, not another year. Have tried multiple computers, multiple accounts. In a private window and in chrome instead of edge.

@EmilyRepperger- and they do not show in list view either. And you have no filters set either >

@EmilyRepperger it is a truly odd one - your unit defined the Event type as “Other” and that seems to hide the event from the calendar. I am thinking this must be a regression that happened, but we are playing to see what other event types do this. Thanks for finding an obscure bug.

I have created several events marked as other and have yet to have them not show in the calendar view.
