Export advancement from Scoutbook Plus. There has to be a better way, right?

With the shift from Scoutbook to Scoutbook Plus (SB+), I am trying to find the equivalent function for exporting advancement data. Previously, I would go into Scoutbook, scroll down to Export/Backup, and select Advancement as shown in the image below. It seems there is no equivalent in SB+, which is strange given that this is a core aspect of advancement, especially when working with third-party systems like Troop Web Host. I have seen forum posts about creating a similar process through custom reports, such as this one: TroopWebHost User Guide: Upload ScoutbookPlus™ Report Builder Advancement . However, I have had mixed results with this approach at best. I know Internet Advancement could not handle partials in the past, maybe this remains the issue. Can we still update ranks and MB advancements in SB + and perform the export in Scoutbook?

I’m hoping that I am just missing the obvious. If not, do we know if export for SB+ is on the horizon? Are we now expected to work solely within SB+ or can we still use both Scoutbook and SB+ interchangeably? I know many have similar questions but all past forum posts are either very old or seem to be closed shortly after being posted with little actual information.

@JonathanDeRose- the export advancement in classic scoutbook still works. Beyond that there is no support here for Troopwwebhost

Generally, the path for support for the 3rd-paty systems is for the 3rd-party system to coordinate with their contact within Scouting America IT, and advocate for a particular functionality. As Stephen noted, the here intent is just for support relative to the core Scouting America interfaces (SB, SB+ & the Scouting app).

Past SUAC posts have noted that all functionality from classic SB is intended to be re-implemented in the SB+ interface, but the degree to which any given feature is replicated and/or upgraded is unclear until it’s released.

Thanks, i have been using Scoutbook export as my backup but was concerned that it might be phased out without another solution taking its place. It is at least good to know that export to Troop Web Host is not supported with SB+.

Thanks!

Good point! I too have been using those as backups.
