Hello,
We recently discovered the Legacy Scoutbook reports for roster and advancement have been disabled, with no on-screen message guidance on finding the equivalent in Scoutbook+. Where can we find the equivalent exports in Scoutbook+?
@MatthewDolezalek - in advancements.scouting.org look for reports
Just to confirm - the Advancements “quick report” here is identical (same csv layout and formatting, etc.) as the legacy advancement report export? We use TroopWebHost for its activity tracking capabilities and upload the Scoutbook data.
Same question for the Unit Roster Lite Report.
Also, have any export bugs been squashed for advancement? I was reading yesterday about the export report on Scoutbook+, which only includes a portion of the advancement records. I’m hesitant to run any data sync operations if there are current issues.
@MatthewDolezalek - the quick reports are the legacy exports ported to scoutbook plus. I would run them and verify that data is there.
I only have access to advancement reports. Comparing the data from legacy report from the last month or so to a Scoutbook+ export on Quick Export of Advancements shows a discrepancy of about 3,000 records.
@MatthewDolezalek - I think that TWH needs to come up with a better solution or work with national on the data
This is a Scoutbook+ report export problem. Scoutbook Legacy report export worked fine. National should re-enable that option while they squash all the significant bugs in Scoutbook+.
@MatthewDolezalek - this appears to be the instructions for scoutbook plus
On legacy that is being decommissioned so there is little to no work being done there as it is on old code
The format of the Quick Export CSVs did change when migrated to Scoutbook Plus. 3rd party tools that rely on these files for import will need to revise their systems. This was reported in the Change Log when Quick Export was released.
@MatthewDolezalek - how many scouts are you getting data for? You may want to scale it back
All scouts. I also split it into two and just tried the G troop. Same error. As mentioned here, the system shouldn’t artificially limit export data, so this appears to be a bug that needs to be fixed.
Are you using the Quick Export report or trying to create a custom report to export data? Quick Export is designed for loading data into other tools.
@edavignon - TWH has instructions to make a custom report for all scouts and all data to import into their site. To me the data request via this method seems excessive
I agree this data is excessive for importing updated advancement into TWH. For a large unit, requesting this amount of data is prone to timeout. For example, none of the personal information, requirement descriptions or empty requirements should be needed.
