Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
Now purchase orders (POs) are in Scoutbook Plus, and I can’t reach the legacy button to create advancement report, and auto-populate. Does Scoutbook Plus have a method?
@GlennWolfe that is a very old post - go to SB+ > Roster > Advancement > Purchasing > go to Open PO > to get Advancement Report you have to Close the PO
I feel the pain. I do not want to close the PO as it is not purchased yet. I close them after going to the scout shop which is often times out of what i need. So…we shoud not have to close a PO until purchased. But yet they require an advancement report to purchase Ranks. It does not make sense (but par for Scoutbook Plus)
How do i sort a PO? It inly lists by Scout which is a SUPER inefficient way to shop. Needs to be able to sort by product. So aggrevated today i told my pack they will have to wait for ceremony because Scoutbook + is making it difficult to deal with.
@AliceCourtland you can force to old Purchase and get the organized reports by modifying this URL with your units Number in your scoutbook.scouting.org URL - https://scoutbook.scouting.org/mobile/dashboard/reports/needspurchasing.asp?UnitID=XXXXXXX
I am trying to do this, but every time I type in my pack unit ID it automatically redirects to my troop unit ID… Any idea how to stop this so I can get to the old PO reports for my pack and not my troop? Thanks. Unit ID is 40189
Edit: I think I found the problem… Since the PO was already closed it was auto-directing me to the troop which had an open PO. I scrolled down to closed POs and it pulled up my pack PO…
@LisaMarler if you are Admin of both you see both on same screen - if there is nothing to Purchase it defaults to a unit that has things to purchase. You can still get to open or closed POs for pack
Piggybacking on this topic, since it’s related. I figured out the new way to run the Needs Purchasing report and that I had to close the PO before I get the Advancement Report (which I’m glad to hear is on the list to change, since my shop wants it when I purchase)…but, when I generate the Advancement Report, the font size is too big to actually see the Date Award Earned (and the District field). I used to use this report to fill out my MB and Rank cards, but it isn’t usable with the font that big, and I wonder if my shop will even accept it the way mine shows.
Is someone able to look and see if this is my problem, or if you are able to replicate the issue on the development side? (and I second liking the ability to sort or summarize what I need to purchase in some way)
