"include scout activities from other units" Scoutbook Plus activity report

I’m wondering if this is a bug or a fewture.

I’ve using the calendar tool to input events, then off of those events add camping nights. What I noticed was that when I go pull up a scout’s activity report, if I don’t have the “include scout activities from other units” box checked, it will not include these events in a scout’s activity logs.

One possible reason is because I’m advancement chair for two troops (boy and girl side of one big troop. We’re not a co-ed troop. Just two troops that actually meet as one. When I add events, I get to choose which troop to add for that event and I usually just do both troops. Is this just how it should behave? These are clearly not other unit events so I don’t quite understand the logic in the behavior.

@NancyLin - since you are a co-ed pilot troop you will need to report your issues via council

I suspect what is happening is because the registrations for co-ed pilot troops are not “standard” the system is getting confused.

Scouting America IT has stipulated that all issues involving co-ed pilot troops must be reported via Council staff. The SUAC is not permitted to report issues involving co-ed pilot troops.

Sorry, I don’t mean the real co-ed that’s on trial run right now. We have two distinct troops with two different troop numbers. But I see them both because I’m advancement chair for both boy and girl troop.

@NancyLin- since they are seperate units that is how this works. Since the boys are not registered in the girl troop and likewise the girls in the boy troop the activity is unto each unit. Each is considered an other unit entry. Not a bug

So, in a calendar event, what you’re saying is, don’t try to add another troop when I create an event or camping night. Create such an event twice, each time linked to the proper unit?

It sounds like activities are not being tagged correctly when there are multiple units on the calendar. Can you provide a Scout’s Scouting America Member ID (no names) that demonstrates this problem along with the start date of one of the activities that does not appear without setting the other unit box?
