The quick export/advancement report does not contain all the records for all the scouts in my unit. The report from Scoutbook (no longer available) and Scoutbook+ used to indicate all the rank/awards/requirements from cubs through Eagle. Now I only get 1006 rows (which is only partial records for 5 of about 30 scouts). On 5/9 this report from Scoutbook+ contained 14520 rows.
@AndrewGoldstein We have asked the developers to roll back the recent update.
Was the roll back successful? Comparing a recent legacy Scoutbook advancement export csv file to Scoutbook+ export for us shows 3,000 fewer records/rows than the csv on Scoutbook+. Without any additional context, this is concerning.
@MatthewDolezalek The Quick Export β Advancements report in Scoutbook Plus was recently updated so that it only includes advancement records that have a completion date. This matches the way the export worked in Scoutbook (legacy).
The change was also intended to reduce the size of the export file, which had been causing some exports to take too long or fail to complete.
After the update was released, it was discovered that some exports only contained advancement records for the first few Scouts in the unit. As a result, the change was temporarily rolled back while the issue was investigated and corrected.
The issue has now been resolved, and the update has been released again. Advancement exports should now include all applicable records while continuing to exclude items that do not have a completion date.
Okay, so that change could explain why our Scoutbook Legacy export had 3k more advancement records than Scoutbook Plus. I will need to compare the files.
Are there new row/record limits we need to be aware of related to the number of records that Scoutbook Plus will export at one time? Previously, we were able to export once for the B troop and once for the G troop and use those two files to complete the data sync. If Scoutbook Plus is now artificially limiting the number of records that can be exported, please provide the recommended work-around guidance to that is closest to Scoutbook Legacy behavior.
Itβs not supposed to be artificially limiting anything. They just took out the rows that had a null completion date.
@MatthewDolezalek - i would suggest applying a filter on row 1 and make sure that all scouts are listed in the last name column. The prior iteration of the export listed every possible rank and award without regard for completed dates.
