Local Council created two troops in my.scouting

So I’m trying to get some traction to figure out what I need to do next. We lost our CO this past year and had another CO step up to take us. When our Council, Greater Colorado Council, went to put in our new chartered organization they instead created an additional troop. When I log into my.scouting, there are two 0127b troops, one of which was the old charger organization in the second of which is the new one. Ironically both of them have the new chartered organization name, it’s just written differently. I’ve contacted the council and they’re not sure what went wrong. They forwarded the concern to national. I have not heard from national but this has been ongoing for a month. I did not recharter our unit as I wasn’t sure which one to recharter under. Additionally, under the new CO, everyone’s date of registration was changed to November of 2025. Can anyone help me?

no that is a council issue - lol and if regs are paid through 11/25 already charter that unit - just saying a scout is thrifty - the registrations are not just going to disappear

I agree that a scout is thrifty. My concern is that I’m still getting emails and so are parents of our troop stating that they’re registration expired last month on December 31st. When they re-registered the new troop with the new chartered organization they also left out individual Scouts for some reason. I hope national gets to the bottom of this ASAP as I’m quite frustrated. This shouldn’t take a month.

Well Unit and Individual Registration are 2 separate actions and maybe even dates now. But still something for Council to work through to clean it up probably with national.
